Business Technology Division

21st Century Education for the New Business Economy!

The LCC Business Technology Division's E-Commerce Courses provide online education for entrepreneurs, individuals seeking  positions in the new world of online business and for employees of companies needing specific skills to assist their companies in making the transition to the EBusiness environment. All E-Commerce courses are online, Internet based and modular to fit the needs of students in today's market. Other key business education courses designated for the E-commerce curriculum will be offered online with traditional classroom offerings also available.

Most E-Commerce courses are offered in single credit hour, five week modules*.  You will be able to take a mixture of available modularized courses based on the skills you need or your interests. There are no formal prerequisites for these courses but they assume familiarity with the Internet and with basic Business concepts and systems.

Straight Talk About Online Education

Online education is not for everyone! While online education will be the primary way that people learn new skills and gain new information in the future this is still a very new world. In its present form online courses work for certain types of people but are not well suited to certain othe types. You need to determine your style of learning to see if online courses are a good match for you.

Those people who are most successful in online courses are self motivated, independent learners, who are comfortable setting their own schedules. The most successful are also comfortable figuring things out for themselves and wish to interact with the instructor on a personal basis to get more information and do not need to ask for constant clarification on procedure. If you do not fit this description you should consider very carefully and talk to me before enrolling in one of these courses.

To determine your learning style please take the short survey below to determine how well you would do in an online course.
